MONTEREY BAY NATIONAL MARINE SANCTUARY
Coastal property owners, the sanctuary’s next door neighbors, have no representation on the advisory council. Seats currently include agriculture, business and industry, commercial fishing, recreational fishing, recreation, research and conservation as well as two at-large positions.

Coastal property owners, as good stewards of the coast, can make a unique contribution to the council. Who could better represent the issues that face both the sanctuary and those that live closest to it than coastal property owners?

If you have an interest in helping preserving our sanctuary as well as our coastal homes and businesses, may I encourage you to apply for a spot on the advisory council.

Applications are available at http://www.mbnms.nos.noaa.gov/sac/2007/recruit07v1/012207covlet.html
and are due this Friday February 23 by close of business. (Fax: 831-647-4250)
