CALIFORNIA COASTAL COMMISSION
RE: Coastal Commission public hearing on amendments for filing fee regulations.

Dear Coastal Property Owners Association of Santa Cruz County Member:

On January 16, 2008, the State of California Office of Administrative Law (OAL) disapproved the Coastal Commission’s (CCC) regulatory action on filing fees for failure to comply with the clarity and necessity standards of Government Code section 11349.1.

On February 8, 2008, the Coastal Commission will hold a hearing on 1) minor amendments requested by the OAL of the Commission’s regulations concerning filing fees, as adopted by the Commission on November 14, 2007, and 2) revision to the Initial Statement of Reasons (ISR), and Commission action on said minor amendments to section 13055(h) and revisions to ISR.
